Major Transition: Fence Training School Becomes FREE Aluminum Installation Clinic

To give back as much as possible to the entire fence industry, NAFCA is transitioning the upcoming Fence Training School into a FREE-TO-ATTEND aluminum installation clinic/service project. This event will be on February 11, 12, & 13.  This event is free to attend for anyone interested; you do not need to be a NAFCA member to participate.

 The details:

  • Long-time NAFCA supporter, Barrette Outdoor Living, has donated the 650 feet of material required for this project at the Florida Medal of Honor Memorial. This project is commercial grade 4′ tall by 8′ wide panels of ornamental aluminum.
  • We will be utilizing driven posts for approximately 75% of this installation.   Even better, we will be utilizing TWO DIFFERENT METHODS of installing ornamental aluminum with a driven system.
    1. A portion of the driven post will be with round galvanized posts and plastic donuts.  These are donated by A to Z Quality Fencing and Structures and Modern Fence Technology.
    2. The other half will be utilizing an aluminum I-beam (that’s right; aluminum I-beams are now available for 2.5″ posts).  The I-beams are donated by iFence, LLC.
  • The remaining 25% of the post will be augered and traditional set with both concrete and foam.
To recap, this is a real-world training and service opportunity. You have the opportunity to work alongside leading industry professionals, installing commercial-grade Barrette Outdoor Living aluminum utilizing a variety of methods. There will be multiple gates to install, as well as terminations on many concrete pillars.
